The softsider waterbed is extremely popular as people are rediscovering waterbeds. Baffles inside the waterbed mattress support and reduce movement depending on the baffle thickness. There is another procedure to reduce the wave action and increase support. By getting a standard or full float mattress i.e. without baffles, it is possible to thicken the water inside waterbed mattress with water crystals that expand 150-300%.

Introducing the gel bed, same construction as the softsider waterbed but the waterbed mattresses have a gel filling. This system is superior by the fact that the gel bed mattress is almost infinitely adjustable. We will supply you with more than you need for you to do your personal adjustments. You may test any bed in any store and purchase it. Six months down the track you found the decision was not the best. Does the $3000 bed go to the spare room?. With the gel bed you are in control.

Pour a few gel crystals into the mattress it gets harder. Add a little salt and it gets softer. How flexible is that? Not possible with fibre filled mattresses apart from replacing it.

Our gel beds come with a reliable 100 watt heater, not the standard 350 watt heater used in waterbeds as the 350watt heater is to powerful for the gel.

About 8 out 10 couples are different when it comes to mattress comfort. In the case of innerspring or latex mattresses couples would have to compromise, hopefully half way, but each would not have their most ideal sleeping surface, particularly when someone suffers from pressure points and arthritis for example. Why compromise if both can have their own way. Like softsider waterbeds, the duet or twin system is also available in gel beds. Each side has its own heater so each person can dial their own temperature, each mattress having its own almost infinitely adjustability, with the coolness in summer and the warmth in winter, what more can you want? Duets do represent nearly 50% of our softsider waterbed sales.

This system would be good for those with limited movement. With the above advantages and soft sides getting in and out of bed is easy. Made to standard innerspring and latex sizes, fitted sheets are ideal.

The gel product is environmentally safe, non toxic and biodegradable. Used in a variety of situations like absorbing chemical spills

Being a thick gel, unlike waterbeds leakage is minimal.

Add a little salt 24-48 hour before you move, the gel is neutralized. Drains easily and moves easily, no baffles to tangle. You can purchase replacement gel from Dreamlover waterbeds and agents.

Only shock treatment is required initially, and then forget the 6 month treatments.

Hygienic? Yes; like softsider waterbeds the gel bed top zip on/off to wash for wool or dry clean for quilted. The mattress surface can be wiped down making them ideal for asthma and allergies suffers.
